Not everythingneeds to be work.

01 / Play

Volleyball is one of the ways I spend time away from work. It gives me somewhere to compete and connect.

02 / People

Social sessions put first-timers and regulars, every level and position, on the same court.

03 / Coordination

Organizing those sessions through messages and individual coordination felt unnecessarily difficult.

04 / VSB

Eventually, instead of only thinking about the problem, I started building VSB.

01 / Interest

I like how Formula 1 uses data to understand performance. What interests me is not only the racing.

02 / Questions

How much of the sport can be understood through data: timing, tyres, strategy, telemetry, track position, and the constant search for small improvements?

03 / Data

A real race is a good place to test those questions. The 2017 Malaysian Grand Prix timing archive holds every recorded lap and pit stop.

04 / Experiment

That interest eventually became Sepang Vision Lab.
